Living in a RV can be a great life!

Living in a recreational vehicle (RV) can be a great life. Many retirees look forward to the day when they can sell their large homes and become a full-timer. However some tips about living in RV may be needed to make it more pleasurable.

Space management: There are cabinets everywhere in RV's, as well as basement storage in a compartment under the RV. Even with all the storage, sometimes space seems to be lacking. Nice brass colored hooks put up next to the door going outside can hold on to winter coats. Hangers can be used to put 3 - 5 pairs of pants on each hanger to save on space and hangers within closets. Consider banking, bill paying, medical care and other essentials that you need to live on the road. Buying a notebook with net connectivity makes sense as new technology with email, online bill paying and cell phones makes all this much easier than it was in the past.

Maintain the accounts: Calculate costs and expenses you need to live. Full-timers need to plan what their expenses will be to live day-to-day on the road. Money will be needed to replace or upgrade the RV over time. Maintaining a journal about dates, events, expenditures and costs helps to manage the finances of house hold well.

Make some extra bucks: Workampers are RV travelers that perform a job or service in exchange for anything of value, including a paycheck. Travel during a favorite season or work temporary jobs all year long. Join the fast-growing population of RV campers that have discovered the ideal employment/vacation arrangement. This helps in keeping the full timer active and the income flowing in.

Less personal space and privacy: People living together fulltime in an RV need to be able to get along. They will be together more often and in much closer quarters than traditional living. Cool hook screws can be screwed one in to each side of the RV and a wire need to be run from hook to hook. Fabric that matches the interior can be used as curtains, and made a curtain divider of. The area doubles and if it works very well, everyone is quite happy in their own "rooms".
